Puddles

Dune just turned 17 months, and in the last month he has grown so much, it really has been a joy and honor to be his mommy and teacher. He now reads over 20 words (hurrah!) and loves to learn and sing and has a very good memory-- he knows loads of baby quotes and songs and Pla is back (yay!) so he's learning Spanish too, which I'm super excited about. He loves anything and everything musical and he's a natural on the drums. I could go on and on, I'm so thankful to have him in my life!

Tenderoni!! such a handsome Costello...er McCollum. Sad that he's growing up without knowing what would have been his favorite Aunty ''Tole.''
And I never thought I would say it, but I miss the muddy Houston back yard.
Love you Clare.
PS. My son will probally be handsomer.

He's so cute Clare. That's cool that he reads. Owen Reads baby and A, that's it. What did you do to help him learn to read?

Hey Nash, I read books with him a lot since he was a little baby, and it got to the point that he'd look at the words and try to read them, then I started him on the "Your Baby Can Read" video series (by Dr. Robert Titzer) in December. He started picking it up really fast after that. I also have one of those little boards that you can write on with a magnet pen and then erase real easy, so I use that to teach him new words, instead of spending tons of time on flash cards. Lot's of love!

P.S. to Auntie Nicole/Troll/Toletarian:
Your future son may very well be handsomer, but mine will ALWAYS be smarter :o)

That's cool. Owen watches the baby can read too. He's learned a lot with that. He reads baby, dog, hi and a. But there are days that he doesn't read them. I guess he has good days and bad days. I'm gonna wean him this week. hope it will be easy.
