A Sailors Birthday

It's so sad that I can never post the REALLY fun pictures from this Happy Part of Earth that is my home. There's always someone who thinks they look hideous (and maybe they really do) and who would freak out if I posted the good stuff. Aaaanyway we had a Silver Submarine party for Pearl's birthday (the "sub" being an Airstream, and too bad I can't post more pictures because the boys did a wonderful job "decking" the thing out), and it was great.

In these pictures I blacked out the really good faces so as to avoid getting it in the neck later. Oh except for Sara as she deserves it for posting a nasty picture of me on her blog.

Dune just turned 17 months, and in the last month he has grown so much, it really has been a joy and honor to be his mommy and teacher. He now reads over 20 words (hurrah!) and loves to learn and sing and has a very good memory-- he knows loads of baby quotes and songs and Pla is back (yay!) so he's learning Spanish too, which I'm super excited about. He loves anything and everything musical and he's a natural on the drums. I could go on and on, I'm so thankful to have him in my life!
